Yes, our Stage 1 tunes are developed respecting the engine's safety margins. The power increase from 231 to 320 HP (+39%) is within safe parameters.
With Stage 1 tuning, Volkswagen Touareg goes from 231 HP to 320 HP (+89 HP) and from 500 Nm to 660 Nm (+160 Nm).
Stage 1 remapping takes it from 231 HP to 320 HP (+89 HP, +39%) and torque from 500 Nm to 660 Nm (+160 Nm). These figures refer to the standard engine, with no hardware modifications.
A remap changes the factory calibration, so on a vehicle still under manufacturer warranty it may affect coverage on powertrain components. Performance tuning keeps all emission systems working; deactivating emission devices such as DPF, EGR or AdBlue is not road-legal in the EU and UK and is intended for off-road, motorsport or export use only.
With a normal driving style consumption usually stays the same or drops slightly: the extra torque at low rpm means less throttle for the same speed. Consumption goes up only if you actually use the additional power.
Yes. The original file is read and stored before any modification, so the vehicle can be returned to the factory calibration at any time.
